2018 Subaru Outback

This year, the 2018 Subaru Outback is getting a major refresh with a number of major changes. This year's Outback comes with a more aggressive stance and profile outside with an updated fascia, grille, and headlights. It also gets daytime LED running lights and a new design for the side mirrors.

In terms of technology, the new Subaru Outback infotainment system gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality. There's also a new design for the central console and steering wheel, along with more luxurious touches at the higher trim levels.

Trim, Tech, and Features

The new 2018 Subaru Outback comes with six different options for trim levels. The base is the 2.5i, which is followed by the Premium, Limited and Touring levels, and the 3.6R Limited and Touring levels at the top end. The numbers represent the engine size, either a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder or a 3.6-liter V6.

The base trim gives you all-wheel drive, automatic headlights, hill descent control and hill holding, rearview camera, and a Subaru StarLink infotainment system featuring Bluetooth, a 6.5-inch touchscreen, full Android Auto and Apple CarPlay app integration, four speakers, CD players, and both USB and auxiliary jacks.

Stepping it up gives you a range of other options including upgraded sound systems and infotainment options, the Subaru EyeSight safety system, power moonroof, power liftgate, heated seats, automatic climate control, keyless ignition and entry, leather upholstery, driver memory functions, xenon headlights, and more.
