Subaru understands the importance of automotive safety, which is why they've equipped their vehicles with EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology. Designed to deliver peace of mind when traveling around Syracuse, Liverpool, and Oneida, this system works to protect you and help you to avoid collisions.
But how does it work and is it right for you? For answers to these questions and much more, read our Subaru EyeSight® review provided by Bill Rapp Subaru.
What is Subaru EyeSight®?

Subaru EyeSight® is an innovative safety technology available for most Subaru models. The system consists ofÂ
radars, cameras, and sensors that can detect and then warn you of danger. Plus it can even deploy the brakes if you don't slow down or stop in time.
What Features are Included in Subaru EyeSight®?
You may have seen other safety technology systems feature a number of advanced technologies. However, none offer as many as the EyeSight® system. Models equipped with the system will have the following technologies.Â
• Adaptive Cruise Control: This adjusts your vehicle's speed to match the flow of traffic and maintains a safe following distance. Like traditional cruise control, you manually set your preferred speed and following distance. After that, EyeSight® monitors traffic and adjusts your speed to avoid collisions. It can also stop the car at the following distance you set when needed.Â
• Lane Departure and Sway Warning: With Lane Departure and Sway Warning, alerts activate if you start drifting into another lane without signaling. The system also sounds and displays warnings when the car is swaying back and forth.
• Pre-Collision Braking: EyeSight® measures the distance between you and the vehicle ahead. If you're coming up behind it too quickly, Pre-Collision Brakingwill activate audible and visual warnings so you can slow down. The system will also deploy the brakes to reduce your speed or decrease the impact of a collision if you don't react in time.
• Pre-Collision Throttle Management: When accelerating, this system can detect when the vehicle ahead suddenly stops. If it does, this feature will cut throttle to reduce speed. It also provides sound and dashboard alerts so you can hit the brakes in time and avoid an accident.Â
