Performance
The Subaru Crosstrek is equipped with a quick four-cylinder engine that produces 152 horsepower, paired to a Continuously Variable Transmission that offers smooth, natural shifts. The steering is updated as well, which improves this vehicle's agility, and the brakes have become smoother and more effective.
Off-road is where this car really shows its muscle though. On dirt, mud, or snow-covered surfaces, the car handles with exceptional confidence. Depending on trim level, the 2018 Crosstrek offers three touchscreen infotainment systems. At the base level, the Subaru STARLINK™ 6.5-inch infotainment system is highly-intuitive and includes Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ smartphone integration. It also includes a four-speaker sound system.
Moving up the trim levels, an 8-inch infotainment system, navigation, a six-speaker sound system are all offered. A premium Rockford Fosgate® audio system is an available option for all trim levels.
A rearview camera and cruise control is standard for all trim levels, but there are many additional safety features available. Depending on the model you choose, windshield wiper de-icer, heated side mirrors, automatic collision notification, SOS emergency assistance, enhanced roadside assistance, and stolen vehicle recovery are available. In addition, the EyeSight® Driver Assistance Technology package includes Adaptive Cruise Control, pre-collision braking, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, high-beam assist and reverse automatic braking. The Blind-Spot Monitoring package includes Blind-Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
