Crosstrek Towing Performance
The
Subaru Crosstrek is equipped with a 2.0L SUBARU BOXER® engine. It
cranks out up to 152 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque, and can be
partnered with the available Lineartronic® CVT (Continuously Variable
Transmission) to maximize power and efficiency. This SUV gets an
EPA-estimated 27 city/33 highway MPG.
All-wheel
drive is standard for all models, giving this crossover surefootedness
and reliability in a variety of road conditions. It also benefits from
the horizontal orientation of its engine, which lowers its center of
gravity and provides better handling, composure, and balance to its ride
quality. So, no matter what you're towing, you'll be able to get it to
your destination.
Properly
equipped, the Crosstrek is capable of towing up to 1,500 pounds. This
ensures that you have adequate power and capability for light trailers
or a personal watercraft for your next weekend adventure.
2020 Crosstrek Safety Features
The Crosstrek makes it possible for you to benefit from an array of advanced safety features that keep you protected on the road with or without a trailer in tow.
EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology is
available for the Crosstrek. It uses a forward-facing camera system and
features Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-collision Braking, Lane Departure
and Sway Warning, and Lane Keep Assist.
These
driver-assisting technologies provide better visibility and awareness
for the road ahead, so you'll have more peace of mind behind the wheel.
The Subaru Crosstrek also has available Blind-Spot Detection and Rear
Cross-Traffic Alert.
These
features are helpful for virtually every driving scenario, but they're
especially useful for towing. They'll make it much easier to merge,
pass, and stop effectively. Plus, with the collision-avoidance features
working to protect you, you'll have more confidence while you haul.
Additional Features
Aside
from the impressive Subaru towing capacity and safety technologies, the
Subaru Crosstrek also has many other amenities that help make it a
practical and well-rounded SUV.

It
comes standard with such features as 60/40-split flat-folding rear
seats, so that you can make the most of the 55.3 cubic feet of cargo
space. Plus, there's leather-trimmed seating and an automatic climate
control system to keep you comfortable.
For
technology, the Crosstrek comes with the SUBARU STARLINKâ„¢ infotainment
system. It features an available 8-inch touchscreen display and
connective features like Apple CarPlayâ„¢ and Android Autoâ„¢ smartphone
integration. With this, you'll have access to your phone's media and
connectivity capabilities, ensuring you have the entertainment and
information you need for the journey ahead.
You'll
be able to rock out while you tow, too! When your favorite song comes
on, be sure to turn up the volume on the available 432-watt, 8-speaker
Harman Kardon® sound system.
