The technology features in the Subaru Outback are impressive, but with so many of them, it can be hard to keep track of which feature does what.
However, understanding the technology in the Outback can be a bit easier with help from Bill Rapp Subaru. We've created what Syracuse, Oneida, and Liverpool, NY, drivers need to know about the advanced features in the Outback in the Subaru technology guide below!
SUBARU STARLINK®
In the Subaru Outback, you'll find SUBARU STARLINK®, an infotainment system dedicated to providing entertainment and convenience during your travels. With this system, you'll enjoy connectivity to your smartphone via:
- Bluetooth® technology
- Apple CarPlay®
- Android Autoâ„¢
Voice-Activated Navigation in the Outback
Also included in the SUBARU STARLINK® infotainment system is a voice-activated navigation system. This Subaru Outback technology feature displays accurate routes and provides turn-by-turn directions to your next destination, all on the available 11.6-inch infotainment screen on the center stack.
It also works with available SiriusXM® Traffic and Travel Link® to help you find local points of interest, get traffic alerts, and see other updated information. Best of all, you can control everything with convenient voice commands.
Subaru EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology
The Outback also comes with the Subaru EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology system. This advanced technology combines the following driver-assist amenities to help ensure safety and peace of mind for the road ahead.
Pre-Collision Braking in the Outback
This Outback safety technology can calculate the distance between your Outback and the vehicle or object ahead. If it detects that you're in danger of a frontal collision, it'll automatically deploy the brakes to minimize crash severity or avoid an accident altogether.
Subaru Outback: Pre-Collision Throttle Management
This Outback technology feature can sense when vehicles ahead suddenly slow down and stop. When it does, it'll automatically reduce your Subaru Outback's engine power to prevent an accidental collision or decrease damage from an impact.
Outback: Lane Departure and Sway Warning
With Lane Departure, you'll be warned when you're drifting into another lane without signaling. This also works with Sway Warning to let you know when you're swerving in and out of your lane.
Outback Technology: Adaptive Cruise Control
Adaptive Cruise Control can maintain a safe distance between your Subaru Outback and the vehicle ahead when driving with cruise control. In addition, it can adjust your speed to match the flow of traffic and stop your vehicle to avoid collisions and accidents.
Subaru Outback: X-MODE®
The Subaru Outback also uses technologies like X-MODE® to optimize performance. This feature works with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (AWD) and activates the brakes and traction control systems. As a result, it can provide maximum road grip and stability when driving through adverse road conditions.
