There's a new trend among vehicles, and that's the trend of offering SUV alternatives that are less like a truck and more like a full-featured wagon. The lines and profiles of these vehicles have been softened, and their shape more car-like as well as their handling, which is becoming more agile and confident. They still, however, offer all the performance of traditional SUVs, allowing for great pick-up-and-go in inclement weather and off-roading.
Of course, another result of the move towards car-like profiles is the addition of a range of trim levels and options to customize the vehicle. Among the best of these SUV alternatives on the road today is the Subaru Outback. Drivers in Oneida, Syracuse, and Liverpool know that it delivers at just about every level. Discover the range of options and features available in the new 2017 Subaru Outback trim levels, and learn why this can be a great car for you.

2017 Subaru Outback Trim Levels
One of the greatest things about the 2017 Subaru Outback Trim Levels is the sheer range of options they offer. This five-passenger wagon comes in a whopping six different trim levels and two engine styles: a 2.5-liter four-cylinder and a 3.6-liter V6. The six levels of trim are:
- Base 2.5i      Â
- Premium      Â
- Limited      Â
- Touring      Â
- 3.6R Limited and Touring
Base Level Trim
The base level of trim for the new Outback includes hill descent control and holding, rearview camera, air conditioning, automatic headlights, tilt and telescopic adjust steering wheel, roof rails, manual adjust driver seat and folding rear seat, and an infotainment system powered by Subaru Starlink technology. This includes a 6.2-inch touchscreen, CD player, USB and audio jacks, smartphone app integration, and Bluetooth for phone and audio.
Â
Premium Features
The 2.5i premium level provides you heated mirrors outside, privacy glass at the rear, fog lights, de-icer for the front windshield, automatic dual-zone climate control, power driver seat with lumbar support, heated seats up front, leather steering wheel, and cargo covers. From an infotainment standpoint, you get voice controls, a larger touchscreen, Bluetooth, a satellite tuner (requires subscription service), six speakers, and an extra USB port.
Â
Limited Level
At the 2.5i limited trim, you get all of the above plus bigger wheels, keyless entry and ignition, leather upholstery, driver memory settings, power adjust passenger seat, heated back seats, and the sound system gets upgraded to 12 speakers by Harman Kardon. You also get safety features, including rear cross-traffic alerts and blind spot monitoring.
3.6R Limited
In addition to the upgraded engine, at the 3.6R Limited level, you get all of the above, plus adding on standard xenon headlights.
Â
Touring Levels
At the Touring trim levels you get variant wheels, an exterior design with lower profile roof rails, as well as an extended interior simulated leather trim with upgraded leather upholstery. You also get a heated steering wheel. The only difference between the 2.5i and 3.6R levels is the engine.
In addition to this range of options, there are various add-on packages, like the Driver Assist Technology package, a Technology package, a Power Moonroof package and more, all of which add a range of additional safety and convenience features.
All of this adds up to a car with a supreme level of customizability for your needs. If you want to check out the 2017 Subaru Outback trim levels for yourself, stop into Bill Rapp Subaru for a test drive today!
